1. Project Background

The Changji-Guquan ± 1100kV UHV DC transmission line project of the State Grid Corporation of China (hereinafter referred to as the Jiquan line project) starts at the Changji converter station in Xinjiang and ends at the Guquan converter station in Anhui. The six provinces and autonomous regions of Anhui have an economic transmission distance of 3,000 to 5,000 kilometers. The voltage level has increased from a historical maximum of ± 800 kV to ± 1100 kV. The transmission capacity has been increased from 6.4 million kilowatts to 12 million kilowatts. The largest, the longest transmission distance, the most advanced UHV transmission project. The ± 1100kV UHV DC composite insulator (product mechanical strength: 160kN, 300kN, 420kN, 550kN, 1000kN) developed and produced by Jiangsu Xiangyuan Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "our company") was awarded a lot in this project (30 % Or more) applications.

2.The bidding situation

China State Grid Corporation of China announced for the first time on December 21, 2016 that it will conduct bidding for the ± 1100kV UHV DC composite insulator project for the Jiquan line project; for various reasons, the first tender was awarded. The second tender was held on March 6, 2017, and a total of 12 manufacturers were shortlisted for bidding. With the company's leaders attaching great importance to the whole process and guidance and the full cooperation of various departments, after full preparation and fierce market competition, our company successfully entered the One of only 4 successful bidders, and won the order of 13123 products of 4 packages, 7 packages and 2 packages of composite insulators, worth RMB 82.19 million, and the number of successful bidding products ranks among the top three in the country!

3.Project Delivery

According to the delivery requirements of the Jiquan line project, all composite insulators must be produced and delivered to the construction site before September 26, 2017. Compared with the current situation of insufficient equipment, low production capacity, and insufficient liquidity of our company, it is no different from major tests and challenges. (According to the production capacity of the original personnel and equipment, it takes at least 500 days to complete 13,123 composite insulators of ± 1100 kV). In order to ensure the high-quality completion of project product production as scheduled, our company has actively adopted a series of improvement measures in engineering management, production organization and technological innovation, and finally successfully completed the production task 12 days in advance!

A series of improvement measures adopted by our company to ensure the smooth production of Jiquan line products have been well received by the supervisory unit; on June 14, 2017, the China National Electric Power Research Institute project engineering expert group came to our company for ± 1100kV UHVDC composite Insulator production inspections highly praised a series of technical improvement measures and safeguard measures adopted by the product manufacturers. The construction units of each bidding section also fully affirmed Xiangyuan's advance supply and on-site service.

Participation in the construction of the Jiquan Line project has once again proven our company's competitiveness in the UHV market and the composite insulator industry, further consolidated the company's leading position in the industry, and has historical significance for the company's development!
