I. Company Profile

Founded in 1985, Jiangsu Xiangyuan Electric Equipment Co., Ltd., a high-tech and an excellent scientific and technological enterprise in Jiangsu Province, is rated as a "contract-abiding and promise-keeping" enterprise, a national "AAA-level" credit unit, and a QES (Quality, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety) three-system certification enterprise. In the past ten years, it has always been ranked among the "first-class suppliers" of State Grid Corporation and China Southern Power Grid Corporation. The company's products have spread all over the provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government in China, withstanding various climatic (geological) conditions such as high altitude, high salt deposit density, heavy pollution, heavy snow and ice, strong wind and severe cold. The company has participated in many national key power grid transmission and transformation construction projects, and the projects have been exported to more than 20 countries and regions such as South Africa, South America, Australia, the United States, Russia, Japan and India.

II. Major Features

(1) As one of the professional manufacturers of composite insulators in China, which started the development and production at earliest, and was the first to realize network connection and the longest safe operation time, in 1989, the company first put the 110kV composite insulator transmission line into operation of Haizhou Town – Liuding Coal Line in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, and now the line has been in safe operation for more than 30 years. The line has been listed as a test line by the State Grid for its stable and excellent performance, and is used for the experimental research on the aging resistance of composite insulators.

(2) The company has established provincial-level scientific and technological research and development platforms such as "Jiangsu High Voltage Composite Insulator Engineering Technology Research Center" and "Jiangsu Enterprise-Academician Workstation", specializing in the research and development of composite new products and technologies. Up to now, the company has obtained 116 authorized patents in the technical innovation of composite insulators, including 22 invention patents.

(3) The company is a member of the National Insulator Standardization Technical Committee and the Power Industry Insulator Standardization Technical Committee, and has participated in the discussion and revision of national standards and power industry standards for many times.

(4) Since 2006, the company has involved in developing and producing UHV composite insulators, and participated in the construction of the 1000kV UHV test base of the State Grid in 2007 for its 1000kV UHV AC composite insulators independently developed and produced. In addition, the ±800 kV UHV DC composite insulators independently developed and produced were used in batches in the construction of Xiangjiaba-Shanghai ±800 kV UHV demonstration project in 2009. Up to now, the company has participated in the construction of 21 UHV transmission lines (10 AC lines, and 11 DC lines), with a total supply quantity of more than 73,000 insulators, ranking among the top manufacturers in the same industry. Moreover, the company has kept "zero accident" in the process of production, supply and operation of UHV projects.

(5) The company’s ±1100 kV products, with the comprehensive technical performance of international leading level, won excellent results in the Changji-Guquan ±1100 kV UHV transmission project with the highest voltage level, the largest transmission capacity, the farthest transmission distance and the most advanced technical level in the world:

●On December 12, 2015, China Electricity Council organized industry experts to conduct technical appraisal on the ±1100kV UHV DC composite insulator series products independently developed by our company. Experts from the appraisal committee reached a consensus that the comprehensive technical performance of our ±1100kV UHV DC series composite insulators has reached the international leading level.

●Our company's ±1100 kV UHV DC composite insulator series products have successively won the bid for the advance stringing project of Changji-Guquan ±1100kV UHV DC project and Changji-Guquan ±1100 kV UHV DC transmission project. It is the only composite insulator manufacturer in China that has won the bid for this project for successive twice, with a cumulative supply quantity of 13,353 insulators.

The ±1100kV UHV DC composite insulators developed by our company have a mechanical strength of 160 kN ~ 1000kN, of which the structure of 1000kN products is the first at home and abroad. It has a failure load above 1400kN and good mechanical properties. Dozens of 1000 kN products have been successfully connected to the V-string of Hami section of Changji-Guquan line in Xinjiang and run safely. Up to now, 13,353 products supplied by our company have been safely operated in every bid section of Changji-Guquan ±1100kV UHV transmission line project.
